OVERVIEW
This website is operated by La Casita Sensory. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to La Casita Sensory.
By visiting our website and/or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the additional policies available on our website, including our Shipping Policy, Return and Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.
Please review these terms before placing an order.
OUR PRODUCTS
La Casita Sensory creates handmade, made-to-order, personalized sensory products, pretend-play products, fidgets, playdough sets, and 3D-printed play pieces and accessories.
Many of our products include 3D-printed pieces produced in our La Casita Sensory studio. Some designs are created by our family, while others may be produced from designs that we are authorized to use commercially.
Because our products are individually produced and assembled, slight variations in color, texture, placement, finish, dimensions, or appearance may occur. These variations are a normal part of handmade, small-batch, and 3D-printed production and are not necessarily considered defects.
OUR 3D-PRINTED MATERIALS
Our 3D-printed pieces are produced using carefully selected, high-quality PLA (polylactic acid), a bio-based polymer commonly produced from renewable plant-based resources.
Because many of our products are created for children, we take material selection seriously. We prioritize PLA filaments from established manufacturers that provide material safety and compliance documentation.
We do not select filament based on price alone. Materials are selected based on quality, consistency, print performance, durability, finish, color quality, and available safety and compliance documentation.
Depending on the product and design, we may use standard, matte, silk, or other PLA finishes while maintaining our material-selection standards.
Specific filament brands, colors, or finishes may vary between products or production batches based on availability and the requirements of each design.
Visible layer lines, seams, minor surface variations, or other characteristics associated with the 3D-printing process may occur and are normal characteristics of 3D-printed products.
Our 3D-printed pieces are not edible and are not intended for chewing or mouthing.
PLA may be affected by high temperatures. Unless specifically stated otherwise for an individual product, 3D-printed pieces should not be placed in a dishwasher, microwave, oven, or exposed to excessive heat.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, our 3D-printed pieces are not intended for preparing, serving, or storing real food or beverages.
Material documentation or testing applicable to a filament does not constitute certification of the finished product unless specifically stated.
PERSONALIZED & MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS
Many La Casita Sensory products are personalized and made specifically for each customer.
Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing all information submitted with their order, including names, spelling, wording, colors, quantities, themes, dates, and other personalization details.
Once production of a personalized order has begun, personalization details cannot be changed.
If required personalization information is missing, incomplete, or unclear, we may attempt to contact the customer using the contact information provided with the order.
Customers are responsible for monitoring the email address and other contact information provided with their order in case we need additional information.
If we do not receive a response within the timeframe necessary to begin production and fulfill the order, we may use our reasonable creative discretion to complete the order based on the product purchased, the information already provided, and, when appropriate, the colors, personalization style, or design shown in the product listing photographs.
If the missing information prevents us from reasonably completing the order, production may be placed on hold until the necessary information is received.
CUSTOM ORDERS & DESIGN APPROVALS
Custom orders are subject to production capacity, material availability, design feasibility, quantity, and the requested completion date.
When La Casita Sensory provides a custom design, model, personalization layout, or other element for customer approval before production, the customer is responsible for carefully reviewing names, spelling, colors, design details, quantities, and other information before approving it.
Once a design has been approved and production has begun, changes may no longer be possible.
If a requested change can still be accommodated after approval or after production has begun, additional design, material, production, or rush charges may apply.
PRODUCT PHOTOS, COLORS & VARIATIONS
We make reasonable efforts to represent our products accurately.
Colors may appear differently depending on screen settings, lighting conditions, photography, filament batches, playdough batches, materials, and other factors.
Handmade playdough, sensory fillers, 3D-printed pieces, and other handmade components may have slight variations between orders.
Product photographs represent the overall design and style of the product. Because many products are handmade or made to order, reasonable variations may occur.
MATERIAL & COMPONENT AVAILABILITY
Because our products are produced in small batches, specific colors, materials, sensory fillers, accessories, or minor components may occasionally become unavailable.
When a minor component is unavailable, we may substitute a reasonably comparable component that maintains the overall theme, functionality, quality, and play experience of the product.
We will not intentionally substitute a major personalized or defining element with something substantially different without contacting the customer when approval is reasonably necessary.
AGE RECOMMENDATIONS & SAFETY
Age recommendations vary depending on the individual product and the components included.
Most La Casita Sensory products are recommended for children ages 3 and older because they may contain small parts.
Certain products, particularly selected pretend-play products designed without small components, may be recommended for children ages 1 and older.
The age recommendation and safety information displayed on the individual product page apply to that specific product and should always be reviewed before purchasing or allowing a child to use the product.
Adult supervision is recommended and should always be provided when indicated by the individual product description, packaging, or safety information.
Products containing small parts must not be provided to children under 3 years of age.
Children should not place 3D-printed pieces, sensory fillers, play accessories, fidget components, or other non-food components in their mouths.
Products should be inspected regularly. Discontinue use if a product or component becomes broken, cracked, significantly damaged, or develops loose pieces that could create a safety hazard.
PLAYDOUGH & SENSORY MATERIALS
Our playdough is handmade in small batches for sensory and creative play.
Our playdough is not edible and contains wheat.
Although some ingredients used to make playdough may also be commonly found in a kitchen, the finished product is a play material and should not be consumed.
Sensory products may contain fillers, accessories, or small play components depending on the individual design.
Customers should review the individual product description, age recommendation, allergen information, and safety information before use.
Questions about materials or components should be directed to us before purchasing.
INTENDED USE & CARE
La Casita Sensory products should be used only for their intended purpose and in accordance with the age recommendations, warnings, supervision requirements, and care instructions provided for each product.
Customers are responsible for selecting products appropriate for the child's age and for providing appropriate supervision.
Products should be stored appropriately and inspected before use.
La Casita Sensory is not responsible for damage resulting from misuse, improper storage, inappropriate exposure to heat, failure to follow provided instructions or warnings, or use of a product for a purpose for which it was not designed, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
PRICING & PAYMENT
Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on our website and may change without notice.
The price charged for an order is the price confirmed at checkout when the order is placed, subject to correction of obvious pricing or technical errors.
Applicable shipping charges, taxes, duties, or other charges are calculated or displayed during checkout when applicable.
Payment must be successfully authorized before an order can be processed.
PROCESSING TIMES
Most La Casita Sensory products are made to order.
Our standard processing time is 5–7 business days unless otherwise stated on the individual product page.
Processing time includes the time required to create, personalize, 3D print when applicable, assemble, inspect, package, and prepare an order for shipment.
Processing time does not include carrier transit time.
Orders requiring missing personalization information may be delayed until we receive the necessary information or determine that the order can reasonably be completed using the discretion described in these Terms.
EVENT DATES & RUSH SERVICE
If you need an order for a specific birthday, party, celebration, or event date, please contact us before placing your order.
Rush production may be available depending on the products selected, quantity ordered, customization required, our current production schedule, and how soon the order is needed.
Rush service is not guaranteed and may require an additional fee.
Rush production and expedited shipping are separate services.
Selecting an expedited shipping method at checkout does not reduce our standard production time unless rush production has been arranged with La Casita Sensory in advance.
SHIPPING
Available shipping methods, rates, free-shipping eligibility, international shipping information, duties, estimated transit times, and other shipping conditions are described in our Shipping Policy.
Carrier delivery dates and transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed by La Casita Sensory.
Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery may be affected by carrier delays, weather, customs processing, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside our direct control.
RETURNS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Personalized, custom-made, and made-to-order products are generally final sale and are not eligible for returns or exchanges except as provided in our Return and Refund Policy or as required by applicable law.
Because production may begin shortly after an order is placed, customers should contact us immediately if they need to request a cancellation.
Once production of a personalized or custom product has begun, cancellation or personalization changes may no longer be possible.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect products are handled according to our Return and Refund Policy.
Please review our Return and Refund Policy before placing an order.
WEBSITE INFORMATION
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices, availability, materials, measurements, and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
However, typographical, photographic, technical, pricing, or other errors may occasionally occur.
We reserve the right to correct errors and update website information when necessary.
If an obvious error materially affects an order, we may contact the customer before proceeding.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & LICENSED DESIGNS
Unless otherwise indicated, original photographs, written content, graphics, branding, original product designs, packaging concepts, and other original materials created by La Casita Sensory belong to La Casita Sensory or are used with appropriate authorization.
Some 3D-printed components may be produced using designs created by third-party designers and used by La Casita Sensory under applicable commercial licenses or other authorization.
Use of a commercially licensed design does not transfer ownership of the underlying design to La Casita Sensory.
Our original materials may not be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed, sold, or commercially exploited without permission except as permitted by applicable law.
References to third-party names, themes, characters, trademarks, or other intellectual property do not imply sponsorship, affiliation, endorsement, or authorization unless expressly stated.
PROHIBITED USES
You may not use this website or its content for unlawful purposes, interfere with the operation or security of the website, transmit malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, or copy or commercially exploit our original content in violation of applicable rights.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our online store is hosted through Shopify and may use third-party payment processors, applications, shipping carriers, and other service providers.
Certain third-party services may be governed by their own terms, policies, and privacy practices.
PRIVACY
Personal information submitted through our website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our products, materials, production processes, services, policies, or applicable requirements.
